Many
people like to go to a collection in our catalog, first.
Although customers know that they'll need to go to The Filing
& Updating Center to type in their mailing list before they
can ask Bachcroft to print their labels, browsing through
the collection gives them a better idea of what they'll
eventually want to buy.
topIn
the catalog it says that I should only purchase the number
of sheets of mailing labels that I need. How do I order
the return-address labels?
Bachcroft
knows that for every mailing label you purchase you will
also need one return-address label. When you are ready to
purchase labels, you should purchase only the number of
sheets of mailing labels that you want. Bachcroft automatically
calculates and prints the number of coordinated return-address
labels you will need. (Usually, customers receive extra
return-address labels.)
topWhat
are the sizes of the mailing and return-address labels?
While
you're in the catalog, you'll notice that each label design
is displayed in two different sizes. The larger size is
the mailing label; the smaller size is the coordinated return-address
label. All mailing labels measure 2 5/8 inches by 1 inch.
All return-address labels measure 2 1/4 inches by 7/8 of
an inch. Mailing and return-address labels are supplied
on sheets. There are 24 labels on a mailing label sheets
and 30 labels on a return-address sheet. Bachcroft does
not cut its sheets once they are printed. We'd rather send
you the extra return-address labels, just in case you need
them.
topAre
your labels self-adhesive or will I have to wet them before
they will stick?
All
of Bachcroft's mailing and return-address labels are self-adhesive,
so you will only need to peel them off and place them onto
your envelopes. Both mailing and return-address labels are
supplied on 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheets. That means they'll
stay neatly in place until you're ready to peel them off.
topWhen
should I purchase the labels I want?
Since
Bachcroft will need to know the names and addresses that
are to be printed on your mailing labels, you should wait
until after you've completed your mailing list before you
purchase your labels.
topWe'll
want to send thank-you notes for wedding gifts. How can
we purchase labels for those, too?
Essentially,
you'll need a modified version of your wedding invitation
mailing list. You can quickly create this in MY WEDDING
PLANNER (Available after Jan. 15, 2002) by checking-off
"Thank-You List" for everyone who send you a wedding gift.
That's always how you start or add names to any mailing
list you are creating. You simply check-off which mailing
list(s) you want people to be on. (Remember: The names and
addresses, as well as any other information you've typed
in, are already there, so there's no need to retype anything.
You'll just want to check-off the boxes for the mailing
lists you'd like different people to be on. That's it.)
If this
seems at all unclear now, don't worry. It won't be once
you begin creating your first mailing list in The Filing
& Updating Center.
topI'm
planning to send out a lot of envelopes. I can type a lot
faster than I can write, but I'm still not sure I want to
enter my whole list at once. Do I have to?
No,
you don't. Once you begin creating a mailing list, you can
leave the center and return again as many times as you'd
like, whenever you want to. That's entirely up to you. You're
mailing list will be there waiting for you when you return,
just as you left it.
If
you want to use a particular view, but you're not interested
in filling in anyone's telephone or fax number, for example,
then there's really no reason to fill that information in.
After all, we won't need it to print your mailing labels.
That's the kind of information that would be stored for
your personal use only. (By the way, our print screen only
shows us the names and addresses you want us to print and
how you've asked us to print them.)
topCan
I make changes to my mailing list?
Yes,
whenever you'd like. However, once you've sent in an order
for mailing labels for a particular mailing list you would
like us to print, any changes you'd like to make to that
mailing list must occur within 24 hours after the time your
labels were purchased. Changes made more than 24 hours after
your purchase may not appear on your labels for that purchase.
Here
is an example: Let's say you completed your mailing list
at 3 p.m. on Friday. After looking through the catalog,
at 3:10 p.m. that same day you buy several sheets of mailing
labels by charging the labels to your credit card, then
pressing the submit button. The very next afternoon, your
mother calls to ask if you remembered to invite your Uncle
Robert's newest girlfriend, Natasha. You admit that, no,
you didn't. Then you look over at the clock. Whew! It's
only 2:30 p.m. This means you still have a whole 40 minutes
to add Nicole's name to your uncle's mailing label. No problem!
(At 3:10 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, we'll look at a copy
of your purchase receipt. Shortly after that, we'll reference
the mailing list you indicated we should print (which does
indeed include Natasha Svelte).
We call
making changes "updating." Whenever you'd like to add more
information, delete information, or make any other type
of change, simply go to the information in your mailing
list that you'd like to change and begin.
We strongly
recommend that you check over your mailing list at least
once before you ask us to print it. Bachcroft never enters
or changes information in a customers mailing list. That's
why it's important to be sure that what you've typed is
what you want us to print.

topHow
do I get my mailing list to Bachcroft?
First,
you'll need to type it in at The Filing & Updating Center.
After that, select your labels by putting the number of
mailing label sheets you want into your shopping basket.
Once you have completed your purchase, we'll be notified
that you've placed an order. We'll go to The Filing & Updating
Center to look for the mailing list you'd like us to print.
By the
way, while you're in The Filing & Updating Center you'll
notice that you can actually create and file away several
mailing lists at once. Creating a thank-you or a Christmas
mailing list while you are creating a reunion mailing list,
for example, doesn't require any additional typing (unless
you'd like to enter names and addresses that aren't included
in your reunion mailing list). You would simply check-off
which additional mailing list(s) you'd like each person's
name and address to appear in.
topOnce
I've put my mailing list on file and purchased the labels
I want, how long will it take to receive them?
To allow
for shipping time as well, you should expect your labels
to arrive within 7 to 10 days.
topHow
many labels should I buy?
Buy
only the number of sheets of mailing labels that you will
need to address your envelopes. Let us explain.
When
you buy mailing labels from Bachcroft, we assume that for
every mailing label you will need you will also need one
return-address label. Therefore, you will only need to tell
us how many sheets of actual mailing labels you will need
to address all of your envelopes. Bachcroft automatically
prints and includes the number of coordinated return-address
labels you will need. (Usually, we include a few extra return-address
labels.)
When
you are in the catalog, you will notice that mailing labels
are purchased by the sheet. Each sheet contains 24 mailing
labels. When you buy your sheets of labels you'll want to
be sure that you purchase enough sheets so that there will
be one mailing label printed for every envelope you're planning
to send. (As we said, don't worry about the return-address
labels. We'll take care of that part.)
Here's
a typical example: Allison Feiler (a fictitious person)
plans to send out 130 invitations, so she knows she will
need 130 mailing labels, plus 130 return-address labels.
Allison notices that for every sheet she buys she will get
24 mailing labels, plus enough return-address labels for
her order. To figure out what number to enter in the shopping
basket window she does a quick calculation, then she enters
the number "6."
topI've
read that my mailing list will be password protected? How
do I get a password?
As soon
as you enter The Filing & Updating Center, just click on
"New Customer." After you do this, you will be
asked to create a user name and password for yourself.
If you'd
like to read them, we'll also give you a few tips on how
to create the best "passwords." (If you don't care to read
the tips, just keep in mind that using your first and last
name generally isn't a good idea, since there may be other
people with exactly the same name or someone you know may
guess that's what your password is.)
topNames,
addresses and telephone numbers for my friends and relatives
is not information that I would knowingly make available
to everyone. How private will my online mailing list be?
Would this information be shared with other companies?
The
information you store in our database is considered to be
privileged information and is used only in the course of
doing business with you. The only time your mailing list
is ever accessed by anyone other than you is when (a) we
receive a receipt for the purchase of labels or (b) we receive
an inquiry from you that specifically requires that we reference
one or more of your mailing lists.
Access
to our database is a service that our companies offer only
to customers for the purpose of helping us to provide accurate
and reliable printing services. Only you (or anyone you
give your password to) and our companies can access your
mailing list. Security features are installed on our online
database to insure the privacy of your mailing list.
Bachcroft
does not share customer information or any information
provided by customers with other companies. Our company
does not produce, purchase or sell mailing lists.
