How To Send
Us Your Mailing List
Bachcroft's online

to send us your mailing list.
To get to the
printing center you can
click on the center's name above or
anywhere throughout the site where
you see the center's name.

you are at the printing center
simply create a username and
password and you are ready to begin.
The easy-to-follow
instructions will help
you to get started entering your mailing list.
(Your mailing list is password protected, and
under no circumstances does Bachcroft use
a mailing list for any purpose other
than to print a customer's order.)
Once you have
completed your mailing list
and you are purchasing labels, we will
ask for your username so that we
can access and print your list.

HOW
TO SEND YOUR MAILING LIST
There
are two ways to send
us your mailing list.
METHOD
1: USE MAILING LIST PRINTING
On any page, click on the "Mailing List Printing"
button near the bottom of the left-hand column.
Use our "Mailing List Printing" section whenever
you would like to enter, update, or send your
mailing list. Simply enter a username and
password and you are ready to begin.
And, of course, you can access and
update your mailing list whenever
and as often as you would like.
When you are ready to place an order,
simply tell us your password while
you are paying for your labels.
METHOD
2: EMAIL YOUR LIST
If your mailing list is already in a database
(such as Filemaker, Excel, etc.), you
can email it to us as an attachment.
Instructions
for Emailing Your Mailing List
1.
Save your mailing list as a Text Only
(ASCII) file.
2.
Check to make sure that your text
file has tabs or commas and quotes
between fields.
(Note:
We only use
five fields. They are Line 1, Line 2,
Line 3, Line 4, and Line 5. Line 1 is for
the full name (e.g., Mr. and Mrs. Nick Jones).
Line 2 can be for additional addressees
(e.g., and Family) or it can be used for the
house or apartment building portion of the
address. Line 3 can be used for the city,
state, and zip code. Line 4 can be used
for the country when it is a foreign address.
In some instances, you may need to use all
five fields, as for example when the
addressing information needs two lines
for all of the names and it is going to a
foreign country, which also
requires a separate field.
Simply
stated, every mailing label line
is one field. Therefore, you should never
skip a field (or line). However, if you
only need three lines for most addresses,
then only use the first three fields.
(We
realize that, for sorting and finding
purposes, many people use more
than five fields. However mapping
your fields to ours would be expensive.)
3.
Your text file must have a return
at the end of each field (line).
4.
Never use a numeric format. Even
though you addresses will include
numbers, always select text as the
format type for each field, since numeric
characters can exist in a text field.
5.
Please keep the number of characters
in each field reasonable. The more
characters you put in a field,
the smaller the font size we can use.
The font size we use is determined by
your longest line. Generally, you should
not have more than 30 characters
and spaces in a field.
